My Mote Of Dust

One can look at a cooling cinder
in awe
of it's once brilliance

The way I now look at your kinder
face
in my remembrance

The one corner of my Universe
I know for sure
the Laws of Nature
conspired
to transcend
the physical bounds of my life

I know my value
you showed me
that in our cosmic neighbourhood
I was unique

Our mote of dust
is the only place
where love exists

I especially like the last line.

I was not sure of this stanza
"the Laws of Nature
conspired
to transcend
the physical bounds of my life"

As an abstract reader, i do not have a reference for what that means.

Losing a father, as I have too, causes us to have a continuous dialogue with him in our heads for the rest of our lives. I think you have captured an aspect of that universal.
