I catch glimpses of shadows
from the corner of my eye,
unexpected intrusions, like ghosts,
fleeting quickly by.
I feel chills from deep inside,
a feverish anticipation
that steals my mind,
and a sickening intuition
of some future time...
a frightful presence divine
