First off Ello to everyone,
I've really missed Neopoet.

I've been away having 2 surgeries and just after I returned home from hospital I lost my brother. That's the reason for my absence.
I want you all to know my PM'S are open 24/7 if anybody has a concern, problem or technical issue please don't hesitate to contact any of us on cabinet or me? whomever really.
We would like to open a forum for our members to comment about our first anthology. For those that haven't seen our book on Amazon, please click on the link below. Congratulations to all our members for striving to better their poetry in our community.

We have learned that a very special member of our community has passed away. Chrystalie Bruso (China Blue) has passed away. Chrystalie was a founding member of Neopoet. She had served on many Administrative Councils and the Chat Committee. She was a valuable member of the Neopoet administration. She will be dearly missed. Please visit the forum below if you wish to leave a message.
One phrase we use often in poetry is "show don't tell" - it's better to *show* feelings through concrete description, vs. telling someone what they should feel.
Let me do it by asking a simple question : Is poetry art or literature? I'll come back here in a day or so and see what ya'll think

Hi, I'm a poet new to this site, but I'm also a songwriter, and my friend Teddy wanted me to share some lyrics so here is, for your entertainment, "Baby, I'm Home". Much like Jason Aldean's "Dirt Road Anthem", this too is a feel-good-coming-home country song, except I added a few verses about my ex. Only moderate constructive criticism please if you're gonna give feedback.
Baby, I’m Home
It is with a heavy heart that we must announce the passing of Ian T. Howard ( Sparrow). He has been a member since the beginning of neopoet.com He has offered his talent, warmth and kindness to this community and we will forever be in his debt. Ian was in charge of getting our undiscovered poems some critiques and making sure every poet felt at home. New poets were welcomed by his charm and his willingness to help them navigate the site. He also contributed to our resources section. A place where poets can learn more about poetry. May he rest in peace and he will be deeply missed
