This Ring

I found comfort with this ring,
Peace as I hear my soul sings;
An eternity of song for you and I,
Every time I feel you nearby.

Nothing compares to how much,
I get electrified by a single touch;
Even when you are not around,
You are in this ring to I am bound.

This ring is my profession of our love,
This ring is my protection from above,
I commit to you again as a year’s past;
Vow to you and God, assured to last.

… with this ring.

There is pleasure when we trust,
Being together in prayer saved us;
So overblessed for you to be mine,
A rib only God set out for me to find.

The favor of God covers us both,
Through journeys of marital growth;
We are rejoice today without cursory,
Because God gave us an anniversary.

This ring is my profession of our love,
This ring is my protection from above,
I commit to you again as a year’s past;
Vow to you and God, assured to last.

… with this ring.

Happy Anniversary,
Baby.

Beautiful and romantic poem/song. I like to see guys writing romantic poems for the one they love, as do I!
And I've been married now for 42 years!

Merry Christmas Lamar to you and the one you love,
Tim.

This is a beautiful poem to express love continuum to the Loved one on 1st Anniversary of you wedlock. However, I was a bit perplexed to read your comment that you two are no longer married, in which case it is not just rare but really worth admiring this expression of love even more even after the two going separate ways...May such unconditional Love always blossom...

Wow... You are good at these commentary. I am speechless. I thought of disappointment when I posted, but I believe Jesus was with me in that marriage. I accepted Jesus in the midst of the marriage. I had gotten things revealed. He who finds a wife finds a good thing. Sometimes, revelations through the Christ can hurt by discovering that you are in a marriage in which you are someone's "spouse", not "companion". God made Eve for Adam... God made Eve from Adam... God made Eve to Adam... God made Eve of Adam... that is marriage. Amen?

this marriage made in heaven?
Perhaps you should try a more interventionist deity, or better still, be accountable for your own behaviour and its consequences.
