My poetry is waiting in the wings,
its melody is halted by so many things,
with dashing nurses, pills,
all sorts of holes to fill with this and that
and stop my pains
waited on, our every whim
rewarded with a smile,
while storms of rain accost the window panes
warm wrapped in blankets we remain prostrate
helpless in our present state
wondering what time it is
as time has gone away
and soon its night before another day.

Dearest Ann
I hope this finds you recovering and feeling better it really sounds like you are being put through the wringer, You have been writing some outstanding poetry since I've returned and this one is just as good you gently and with sensitivity show us your world and your pain
and soon its night before another day.
I absolutely love your ending though I am not sure if that line needs the "and" but that's such a small thing for me with this piece, its a wonderful write.
I wish you nothing but light and love dear lady here's to your speedy recovery
love and biggest hugs JC xxx
P.S. I'm not dead yet!!!!!!!!!
Thank you dear Jayne,
yes I am recovering, I have to be careful to avoid two things,
hernia and lymphodema, two nasty things, so go slowly.
But that doesn't stop me writing poetry. Several every day,
they just keep coming, and I enjoy creating them.
I still like to keep the 'and' as it finishes the rhythm best that way, to me!
I have only sent one or two poems here, as I take part other places too.
Love to you and yours from Annof Norway.
P.S. I'm not dead yet!!!!!!!!!
Ann
I am very happy to know your recovering, and I know your far from dead yet ;)
You are special here and it causes us pain to see you in a bad way, I know you will get well your an incredible human being.
the removal of the 'and' was just a suggestion and like I said its such a small thing
its good to know your keeping your mind active it will, in my experience, help in the recovery process
much love to you and yours JC xxx
you simply excel
even in your pain
your poetry tells
you are the wizard of poetry
hope Nobel's
know it
get well soon
as being in hospital is no boon
we must stand on our
own two feet
to get away from multiple disease
a gift if
all ICU
the docs love to say
I see u
Please,
Please keep them coming as we all enjoy your work, and i'm sure poetry will help in your recovery. Love Roscoe...
So kind, I thank you friends,
So kind, I thank you friends, am in good spirits, my carcass follows slower at the moment, but it will soon be new again, just you wait and see. Realistic I am, so do not dwell on things unpleasant or worry about it all much, what has to be done-has to be done; so 'they' get on with it, hoping its the best treatment for just me, but one treatment causes another bad thing, one just has to hope that all will go well in the end, and if I leave this clod of stone, so what, that's that. I shan't even know.
Not worried love from Ann.
they say one's might and Gods will
They say one's might and Gods will
are never still...
we all come to play
and
when the games over
none can that say
the referee knows it all
so we shall await your call
Thank you, I do't believe in
Thank you, I do't believe in gods and deamons,
though everyone is entitled to believe whatever
they wish to, I suspect I am recovering well due to
my lifestyle which os healthy, food-wise, exercise wise,
and using my mind,
I write poetry among other things, and that's the secret
of becoming younger as the dates get older. its surprising
how young one feels when without pain, or worries,
and I only worry in the now if there's something that
warrants worry, usually there is not, just as energy
begets energy, so worry begets worry, so why bother with it!
Woopee the sunset is beautiful like a water colour wash,
darker above and paler below, at the horizon like pure fire.
that's life, being able to see such things.
Thank you ALL so much for being such good friends,
love to you from Ann.
Hi Ann
It's good to have poetry to use in helping ease our pains and worries isn't it? Good to know you are on the road to recovery and regaining youth lol. IF you find how to regain youth be sure to tell this old banged up southerner the secret . .................stan....PS if you're up to it you might have some fun in my "Right Word" shop
not dead yet.....
of course not...you live..
Another wonderful poem
our land here is flatter
but our trees and the little
musical creek all the same..
small details when i walk
the dog along the train tracks
the old highway crossing i helped
brush back...trails like visions
and poems are wonders
we see with your eyes the
beauty of its immensity
and grattitude...
thank you ann
