When all the birds have flown,
remains their song.
Among the pebbles in the brook,
along the branches green,
through gaps in forest trees.
The sky, its bugle blue,
the shaking raindrops oscillate
to hit the ground,
resound with little thuds
on trodden leaves.
Within this peace,
the memory of many things throng,
we start to dream of spring,
and all that's sad is gone.

Hi Ann
I'd already read this over at Dan's place but it's good enough to read yet again lol..........stan
Beautiful,
Beautiful, it's not quite winter, and you've got me wanting spring. Love Roscoe...
Thank you all, Jayne good to
Thank you all, Jayne good to see you too, I am partly back, still convalescing but doing fine. Its damnable being a semi invalid, when I love to walk long distances in the wilds, but slowly I shall do so again I'm sure of it. Three times, I am glad I am not a cat with NINE lives to live!! Hopefully.
I think of Spring in this Autumn due also to how I am...glad you want the Spring Roscoe, but I love the Winter too, those silent white scenes with falling snow are pure magic.
Love from 1/2 Ann.
I'm so excited

It's so good to be reading Your's and JC poems.
Both of you have this kinda aura! - an almost magical feel about your poetry.
The sky, its bugle blue,
the shaking raindrops oscillate
to hit the ground,
resound with little thuds
on trodden leaves. This stanza is stunningly descriptive!
Within this peace,
the memory of many things throng,
we start to dream of spring,
and all that's sad is gone. This stanza is reflective and positive.
Keep writing Ann! You poems inspire and infuse.

Thank you dear mand, you know the woods as I do,
remember when we went to the big estate that evening,
there it was so atmospheric wasn't it, so I know that you
understand my poetry as you too watch nature like me.

I remember! Gelliur - The old mansion has been bought by a private owner. It is currently being done up, so no one is able to visit. I spent many a wonderful summer evening walking round the mansion grounds. Fabulous.
Good memories!
Your poems do nature great justice.

yet as powerful
if not more
so you too must carry on...

Doing my best, have to have a tight stocking put on and taken off by nurses every day and night, amusing, it will pass ' as the fox said as he was skinned!' I take day at a time, living in the present, have no pain, what more can one ask.

Lady of the Northern Skies
You will never be less, your physical being cannot change the way you are in your Spirit.
You are free to roam
though you sit at home
Where those birds
have gone you see
They can be held
in your minds Eye
Just learn to roam free
Yours as always, Ian.T
I am free, free of past and
I am free, free of past and future, I live in the now of life
and cannot therefore be bored, or tongue-tied either!!!!
Thank you Ian.
