Privacy Quaint

How ironic indeed that freedom won
to shake off shackles of dogma sons
and daughters dear
should be so roundly trounced
with teaming steers of fear

Fear found out the skeleton in cupboard
now Facebooked
Fear found out your current CV cache
now cached on your future bosses board

Oh dear, how quaint a concept is privacy now
when future others ask "how"?
How did we lose that bastion strong
that kernal of "us" that's now
perpetually "wrong"

Your early early poems were quaint , cute, amusing and fun.

You have got serious and acquired word power!
What the fuck happened?

Obviously my critique. [grins]

Seriously see you have been taking your craft seriously.
Kudos!

I'm clearly only as good as my last poem!

Work-in-progress...wish I could be a proper writer. Now to develop some staying power.

I credit you for helping me raise my game. Still work to do. You still raise my heckles and irritate the heck out of me with your brusqueness sometimes...and yet, sometimes the naughty elf surfaces and sprinkles sparkly brilliance that gives one hope that Neo won't end up all dullard worthiness.

Ells :))

Hiya!

When are you next performing your work?...Must get around to watching you.

I'm thinking of writing an actual book...had some very vivid ideas that I'm slowly working up into some kind of plot. Would you be interested in reading a draft when i finally get my arse into gear? Probably will be the new year now.

Anyhow, Adieu for now.

Mrs C xx

I would send a spare pair of hands to you
but Digit stole all the fingers for stew.
He's a shit head of the first degree
Never fair to you or me,
He left this morning thank goodness but I fear for the odd maiden out there.
Never mind I shall send you just good cheer, have a great day,
Yours Ian.T

This is a good write and a flourish of poetry we need here.
Did you notice that Mr C referring to you as Mrs C did you notice also that he had a young lady fall into his lap the other day ??? Was that you ???
Now the Great Australian Elf has sprinkled you once again with Elfin dust bringing praise to your door.
Have a great day in Sutton, I haven't lived there for a few years lol
Go well, yours, Ian.T

Oh Dear Ian!

It's our little joke between us...I'm happily married thanks, to a non-poet!

Sutton???? I live in Southampton, Hampshire!

Ian.T

Sutton, is the word us country folk use for Southampton it saved a lot of ink lol. I lived in Malmesbury Rd
Not to be serious there young lady, Ephraim is a singular word, I don't believe him when he said he had a woman fall into his lap, just wonder where he's been lol.
You take care and keep writing, Yours Ian.T

The trouble is, our youth are sleep-walking into a society that will be so monitored and controlled but dressed up as entertainment. An accident happened in my local town...instead of calling the police....I counted 5 people get their phones out & film the incident! It's now some people's first reaction. My lovely daughter is addicted to the 'selfie'...I'm bombarded with pics on my Facebook of my daughter moving, drinking & all the boring minutae of student life. Corporations buy contact lists from others from the internet. This is all dressed up as making life more 'individual' and having more 'choice'.

I'm suspicious, but part of it because, let's face it, life without the internet now is almost unthinkable in our society.

Hope we don't ever have a massive power-cut and can't use electricity for a week. Probably be driven to murder someone!

Bought a new computer so I could be better online. Didn't buy a smartphone. If it rings numbers and does text messages it is enough.

Oh, I go off the grid twice a year (no, it's not always when I get suspended [grins])t is the eed to go bush and be uncontactable. Humans are sociable, but not squashable.

with curiousity

a tongue in cheek
