"WHY ME?"
Margaret Ann Waddicor
28th November 2010.
Why am I blessed
with friends of such worth,
with health and happiness
that bursts out of my heart,
each day, each hour, each minute.
Winter's shawl about my shoulders
cold enough to hurt with storms,
and with disasters fraught,
the peoples of this earth.
And yet I flourish here,
without a debt, without a fear of death,
or suffering;
what have I done to win this boon,
not stared at that white moon
and swooned in acceptance of a creed.
Or a theory spun by man,
my spirit free of shackles spins and soars
in air so balmy sweet,
when I'm still firmly planted on my feet.
What joy, what sensed creation in my soul,
deep is the bond with nature here on earth,
I feel I'm just part of the one great whole,
my sisters brothers all complete.
A sphere so beautiful, so wise,
and yet forever changing time,
the skies each day, each hour, each minute,
ever in the flux
that measures our existence small,
we feel sometimes its summer in the fall.

Good fortune must be a factor
Good fortune must be a factor.
Victor
You are probably right Victor
And one must choose one's parents carefully!!!
TO inherit the genes that rejoice, apparently there are such,
and likewise others that definitely don't,
the pessimists among them.
My mother always used to say,
she/ he's a lovely person but she doesn't rejoice!
with horror on her face!
Chance, coincidence of genes mixing
there are so many variations it could choose,
and some fall well, so I am thankful to the 'fates'
for which one's they chose, I suppose!
Love to you and the sea makes its music behind you there!
Ann.
why?
As ye sow.................stan

It's not easy for some to see the world is you see it, because they're always thinking of themself and forget to be thankful for their bounty on this giving earth.
"A sphere so beautiful, so wise,
and yet forever changing time,
the skies each day, each hour, each minute,
ever in the flux
that measures our existence small,
we feel sometimes its summer in the fall."
Yes!!! this verse is oh so true, no matter where we are if love for the world is in our heart then summer florishes forever!

Mona ever loving Magic Mona.
You too love people and the world
and one doesn't have to have a religion to do that,
but you have yours
and I am happy for you;
I wouldn't discriminate happiness,
how could I?
Even if I do not share your view of the world.
Thank you Mona, I love you too, Ann.
I get a propitious sensation

Also,
"What joy, what sensed creation in my soul"

Hello Ann
What a wonderful poem to be greeted with on a Monday morning. You are full of the love of life and your poems exude and overflow with what is in your heart.
Wonderful poem, from a wonderful person.
Love and kisses

I like your quote here.
How lovely it is, there is much in the Arabic language
that I find fascinates and gives me pleasure,
I see it in your writings too.
Love and thank you from Ann.
Oh have I missed these comments?
Oh have I missed these comments:-
Have I indeed, oh how can it be that I am so blessed with YOU,
I cannot be perfect, as what you say almost denotes one such,
we all have our faults, none can be without,
none are crowned with complete wholeness,
except perhaps when they are in love,
that is the key maybe,
as I have always been in love with the world,
its many facets, and with certain people
have achieved touching the bliss that is pure happiness,
but am not perfect still.
I have always said since I stood up in the
chuffer train carriage and shouted
"I love everybody in the world,"
and if I think about it, I DO.
Not those sides that discriminate,
or cause others pain, of course, but
in each and every individual, however
rough hewn, there lies love and if one seeks
that from them, then they too are loveable.
No? YES!
I love you all dear friends and may you
love life as well as I, and may this carry you over
the rivers of pain and sorrow
to the other side,
with joy and happiness in your hearts,
come what may.
Ann.
