when you talk of her
also say solo
my mind rushes
flushes and blushes
as a sailor why!
you ought to know
but that your lover be a boat,
I needn’t quote
twas a surprise
for anyone to read
poetry
as lovely…
O what a coincidence
my mind resembled some ones
but hello sailor
I like to read real poetry
of a sailor at sea
as one rests the night
in a country …..
as foreign as distant from home,
it can be
is my impression of a sailor
questionable..
tell me how it can so be…

I see once again, I(or rather, my poem) seem to be your muse:-)!
Sailing is, at least for me, a solitary passtime.. More a meditation really. It matters not whether I sail vast distances or merely tack back and forth going nowhere of any distance or import. I find myself and the boat achieving a oneness that is just not possible even with another person. This oneness potentiates greatly when sailing at night, which I prefer. This is a dimension that my wife even she is not part of. It completes me in some odd fashion.
Thanks again, my sewwt friend for you reading and response.

nothing more than admiration
nothing more than admiration
your solo now i understand
married as you also are
great sailor
do say
all about your hey days
I had many friends you know
who enjoyed many a FREER go ....
you as a sailor
ought to know...
sweetness is in my blood
since birth
many love to taste it ...
