Oh Alice, Put Down The Seagull

On multi-coloured cliffs
comedic seagulls
escape the intruders
in shifts

Playing a Seagull game
of chess
they nest and make
use of cliff condominiums
hide and seek

Alice a nordic beauty
(If there was a contest)
a winner if I ever saw one

Reaching for the Seagulls'
eggs
the birds suddenly
attack

"put down our young!"
"put down our young!"
they screech
all Alice can do
is reach for the ledge

Safely harnessed
and swinging
like a teenage ape
she lunges
and grabs
the Seagulls' hope

the response is swift
with razor beak
the harassed mother
swipes
Alice's eye is gouged
and ripped

Revenge is bloody
but just
a life for a swipe
the Seagulls swooped
for a feast
of fair skinned body

The delicious damsel
is stripped
and pecked
the carrion carved

They found her hanging
some time ago
too late to tell
the tale
of Alice's demise
on Seagull shale.

Poor Alice and fantastic poem

BettyBuff

Yup, served her right didn't it? I'm raging at the inequalities around us. 'Beautiful' people thinking they have the right to do anything...they don't.

I was left with an image of Alice dangling at the end of a rope looking pretty bad ... Lol it did the job
