christmas

The near full moon
hangs
pregnant
bright
on this starry Christmas-eve night

I think of the young Mary
about to labour the pain of creation
and hold her new babe

oblivious
to future agony
.

It strike me as incredible apposite that a foreign being implants itself in a human being then emerges to try and take over the species, teehee.

The last 2 lines almost make this a Christmas poem worth writing and reading.

as usual painted really well!

Do you really need the "the" before Young Mary?

judyanne

and yes - i think i do need the 'the'
- it (imo) stresses 'the mary', not just any mary if you know what i mean?
