I have observed most folks live
in houses palatial,
brightly lit
heated hot
very few live in homes
within warm blankets
provided by living souls
in human form,
we all are hypocrites
more than not, often

Loved
Maybe you will need your Flack Jacket for the comments on this one, where there are some that have worked hard all their lives to attain such Homy places. LOL
I know what you mean, but I would rather be a millionaire, than a poor man but we make a journey and our path is set, some work very hard and even they sometimes end up with nothing.
I can see the suffering but can do nothing, if I shout they will lock me up. so I live in my Homy quietly and if cold turn the heating up, whoops did I say that lol, Yours Ian.T
great fun
your humorous comments
Ian... hahahahahahaaa
The rich and the poor
I loved it. Not sure how the last 2 lines fitted. Please explain

at times we tell white lies
though unhappy at home
we say otherwise .....
each one for him/herself
poetry is just a n emotion
not common to all
perhaps this settles it thanks
Thank you
So true
the "tortured poet" cliche arises again
This line of thinking is silly, immature, and dangerous. Sure, there are the Plaths and Sextons among us, but poverty, tortured existences, and suicides aren't limited to those of us who write at whatever level. Also, I don't see a damned thing against working and building a good life for me and my family. I'm sure that you can find that kind of life if that is what you want, but other options are certainly open to you.

my poetry is not my own exposition
I step into shoes
of those who listen
and
then give out my own version
love this poem and your replies to critique
good on you.
My epitaph might say "I'm glad I didn't spend more time at the office"
