HALLELUJAH
Religious wars, where absolutes are proven neither wrong nor right,
Have body counts that must show war's absurd.
Religion has, for centuries, been generating heat, not light
With slashing swords excused by Holy words.
Though generations fight to make their true God number one again;
Though thousands die for crescent or for cross.
Fanatics on both sides still wade across vast seas of blood and pain,
The meaning of the scriptures now long lost.
And if God ever came to this small planet, would He hold our hand?
What shall we tell Him? what will be our cry?
As our nations beg forgiveness, will He try His best to understand?
Or simply snuff the sun out, let us die.

Brilliant!
Tam, when you get serious you get profound.
Of course there is no god, but if there was, you would be right.
Dear Tam
Long time no read, but I am very happy I found this one (thanks Jess)
I have wondered what he would think of all that we have done to this once pristine planet
hope you and yours are well good to see you here

God
If he or some such entity were to revisit Earth, they would take one look and go back to the drawing board.
After they had smote us severely and cleansed the earth of such a parasite lol.
Always reminds me of the short story, where some giants arrived on Earth one day, and a child looked up to his mother and asked.
"What are they spraying the air for?" she said to get rid of the crawling parasites, lol.
Good write Jim, but we must try to start from scratch again, but I fear we are too late, I did make out a world plan to try and correct the world situation once and for all, but it will rot away as the world does.
Yours Ian.T
