I vacation once a year
and always do so far from here
in a different state each time
preferably a different clime
It makes my actions hard to trace
by spreading out both time and place
it seems so easy I 'most cry
the idiotic FBI !
I take one week to get my prey
introduce myself on the third day
a pleasant smile upon my face
the epitome of charm and grace
These teenage girls, so young and breezy
to win their trust is oh so easy
when they're on vacation too
far away from parents' view
After seven days I spring the trap
usually using a knock out slap
when they come to they're nude and bound
with lips sewn closed there is no sound
The look of pure fear in their eyes
is just the first of many highs
each time I remove another part
speeds the beat of my cruel heart
The strongest lasted for five days
of agony and blood soaked haze
why did she decide to die
when I removed her second eye ?
Well, all good things come to an end
a rule that even I can't bend
cut up, bagged, put in my trunk
carried home like so much junk
There's three dry wells near where I live
to them the remains I give
all out in the remote country
at night so that no one can see
Oh well, vacation's now at end
time to transform to normal friend
all whom I know are safe from me
my fun's always far away, you see
* they say that 1 out of 100,000 people are serial killers. That works out to about 3000 in the U.S. or about 60 per state. Sleep well

Helloo Stan
Seriously scary to think there are that many serial killers out there. Your poem was hauntingly vivid and rhymed to perfection.
Love Mand xxxxxxx
fun
Yes, statistically it means that although we might not know one , we've probably seen one. Glad you had the nerve to read this one...........stan

You're a sick man Charley
You're a sick man Charley Brown. ;-)
If not gruesome serial murders, then perhaps serial *date* rape with drugs like Rohypnol?
However, you make your point exceptionally well in this poem. Barry and I happened to watch "The Lovely Bones"... and it was recently a year's anniversary that a Cleveland man killed, dismembered and buried
11 women in his house and yard. It's an even uglier story because if the police had paid attention like they
would have in a white neighborhood, murders 6 through 11 might not have happened. Of course the women were less than *good* victims and the one who got away was less than a *credible* witness.

Thanks Stan for tackling an ugly heavy heavy societal illness, my word... one of every 3000? Good grief.
