Time is unfeeling
And time passes, marching on
With no drum major
No command to ever stop
Time is everlasting
And when we are gone
Time will stay.
In time we feel a glass wall
Getting thicker
Yet more fragile
As the inches from you to me
Become more and more obvious
Like tempered steel
Stolen glances heating up
Maybe
Sometime
Hopefully
I wish
I would and then I will
These are our words
And they fill the air in between
Two pairs of lips
That seem to forget each other’s press so easily
But the changes on the inside remain
Each breathe you couldn’t breathe, scars on your lungs
And that hard-beating heart bruised your ribcage
That space in your arms seems too empty
The dark fills where you know I should be
But we move along
We grow strong
We give time a run for it’s steady beat
And survive
Because in the space among this moment and the next
We are everlasting
And when time is gone
We will stay.

Dear mags,
"That seem to forget each other’s press so easily"
this is a brilliant line!
sometimes, time, feels like the enemy...so fleeting yet formidable.
