You flow with a greater force than the Nile river
You do not ask for permission,
Do not even scan the environment,
You just flow .

I have been trying to stop you
If only I had realized sooner,
Realized that you have a mind of your own,
Freedom is what I would have given you.

This is the most beautiful heartfelt poem I have ever read. The line where you would have given my tears freedom, really brought the meaning home.

WOW. I love this. The raw emotion of this is breathtaking. Some of the best poetry is written in the heat of the moment, as this is an avenue through which one can imbue the essence of the poem with the life it needs to fly. If the words are the air, emotions are your wings.

I like how short it is. There is definitely something to be said for a short poem that keeps you coming back for more.
