WINGS

WINGS

I seek no magic
no Christmas dreams
no childhood anticipation
of exciting things
no wanderings into fantasy
and imagination.
I have no place to hide
any more.
I have no wings

This is sad, and if of you
then is so untrue.
You have wings in all you do
Your writing sets you free.

Inside where thoughts sometimes hide
Is a spirit free
I wish it would talk to me,

Your writing is great, and I guess that the pen follows the moods, and I can feel the why, and mistrust of even feeling, that brings so many things to you.
I can only really say that we are here, and love to read your works no matter what your mood it is, only us worrying about you, and the care we cannot give, sometimes it makes us angry at the world, that we have to see from a distance..
You take care Joe and know we are here, Yours Ian.T

I find that at my age of 70 I am very lucky to be able to do the things I do.
I use to play Field Hockey three times a week up until 39 and always kept reasonably fit .
Since 1991 when I gave up Smoking I have put on 4 and a half stone, mind you I was only just over 9 stone then lol
When 65 found I had a worn disc in the spine at C4 which is not a good place, but I am very careful what I do, but miss the activity, and for me to slow down was like hitting a wall, it also eats at your way of life, but as I say I am very lucky, I can now play sport with my imagination it don't hurt as much lol.
Anyway Joe we can write still and there are many ways of doing that.. You have a great Sunday and light a candle for me, I need a whole armful lol, Yours Ian.T
