PLAYMATES II

A weaver bird held a steady grip on the line
Contrasted partner’s oomph partly dissipated
The rattled ranting male looked tattered in the scrap
Derelict and unable to return the craze
With misgivings on both sides, they bunged the pastime
Seemingly quizzical, she chased out her lover

That which was fun, turned sour in disaffection, they
Locked wings in rapid kicks of distrustful avid fight
And fell from lofty heights, disappearing behind
The extended green grass across the burnt brick fence
There are things you don’t see in the hearts of men
On affairs of adulation and dreams of happy ending

The love rites of the Weaver Bird, I think just a little prompting or make the word picture more clear, then the comparison to that of people
would shine more
That which was fun, turned soar in disaffection, they The word Sour is I believe the correct one here.
Spell check in English especially the small words usually doesn't pick up the subtleties of words like sour, sore, or soar, as they are all correct in their own usage.
I liked this one it is a pity that more don't comment on your work as it is unique, Yours Ian.T

Sour, sore, or soar, I got them mixed up, then planted the wrong seed, The weaver said, the things that happened to us yesterday, will they happen to us again today? Others chorused in unison, no no no. So they flew away to pick more leaves for a new home on another tree after the former was hacked down. I appreciate you comments and suggestions. Best wishes.

That the Mayan calender runs out this year, could mean that we have to start at the beginning again, as the weaver bird and all things there is a point where we have to start again.
5,200 years is a long calendar so what can we expect.
Take care young brother mine, we all reach out for the end of our journey in time, Yours Ian.T
