My Friend Flicker

A spark igites
and the rest is history.

That lone, single spark
is responsible for it, all!

The laughter, tears, and anger,
depression, giddiness, and regret;

all were each but, a single live-wire.
Once lit, ther is no turning back!

However, it's the moment that decides
which avenue shall encompass

where the fire shall burn,
and exactly who should be holding the flame!

About This Poem

Last Few Words: ....and here's yet another, avenue.

'were the fire shall burn' - do you mean 'where' doc?

just in my opinion - i think this would work better in quatrains - thoughts seem a little scattered with the couplets....

and
'were each but, a single live-wire' - (again imho) would work better with 'are' instead of 'were'

i really like the concept here doc
'it's the moment that decides
which avenue shall encompass
.... were the fire shall burn,
and exactly who should hold the flame'
- has me thinking
