Metrophobia & Triskaidekaphobia added (Acrostics)

Metro What ???

Muses that torture my brain
Epics that test my endurance
Themes that trouble my memory
Rhyme that makes me sing
Oration changed into verse
Poetic nightmares stream
Haiku’s that sing of winter
Overriding fear of form
Books of useless words
Incomplete sentences
Alarm at talking in riddles

Triska Who ???? Triskaidekaphobia

Twelve plus one I dare not say.
Rhetoric of omens thrown in my way
Insidious numbers that bring me harm
Sliding around ladders another charm
Kinfolk long lost on this numbers day
Abide in my home, going out, no way
Intolerable omens that cross my path
Doctor death has stalked me too long
Even numbers are much more strong
Kinky people share these views
A day of lost work, national news
People cowering way out of sight
Hoping to make it through the night
Oh help me in this hour of need
Beware, stay in, not to venture out
Incarcerated by my own lack of clout
At last a new day dawns

an affliction almost to horrible to contemplate (lol, except for 'epics that test my endurance' – I can relate to that haha)

Lovely to hear your words on this one I think it was one of our Neopoet's that penned the word and I had to do something with it.
Phobia's are lovely words yet carry such a fear, I must find some more and have some fun, it teaches research and expands the word's held in memory, Thanks again, Yours Ian.T

Are never easy to write as far as I'm concerned but looks to be a nice game here.
I enjoyed your phobia here ,I can relate too :)

I find them fun and I take the word and put it vertically in capitals then just go to each capital and write a line keeping in mi8nd the words meaning and use.
I love doing it for people, Like:-

Rare beauty of words from desert's sand
Understanding of us in many other lands
Love flows to all as to her God draws near
Always her heart, of us, is sweetly aware

See that wasn't hard was it lol
You take care of you
As you are precious to all with your gentle tones,
Yours Ian.T

through just fine! Acrostics almost seem to be a forgotten form. So glad to see someone who does them well. ~ Gee

Acrostics are difficult and somewhat limiting, not so much as Paradelle or Sestina but difficult nonetheless. You've done well here!

Here's one for you ----- Triskadekaphobia fear of number 13.

Can't mention that number, it is too fearsome to my mind where sanity and reason is left behind...

Bad lad left an I out of the word so I had to go write a line in the middle lol
"Triskaidekaphobia" they should have spelt it with thirteen letters "Tridekaphobia" would have made more sense lol, Yours Ian.T
