ZOMBIE

ZOMBIE

my soul has no care
of its nature
my heart beats
to its loneliness
and I am a flame
fading into dark

I shall only say this once:-

"That your Flame
Will be as a candle to the sun
Once your Journey is done

Yours as always Ian.T

last unit on the train
sometimes the brakeman would be
out Mostly just the red lights

Now they have a little box that can tell
the lead unit everything
and it has a flashing light on the box
to show anyone coming up on it
heavn forbid that its a live train

but I think about life
and how its moving
how experience is like a boxcar
either full of dark wind
or the soul of a harmonica player
men and women seeking
passage from time of the rail kings

one day I'll be that little light blinking
away down the tracks to someplace

Thank You

Nordic cloud

This is like a haiku, Joe,
in its powerful succinct content.
So simply expressed
and so resoundingly real-
in the now-
strong.

No care of its nature
empty heart beats
extiguished light.

Hollow heartbeats
lonely nature
dying flame

Nature ignored
hearing my lonely heartbeats
a dying flame

oblivious of my nature,
the heart beats, lonely,
flickering flame

Just playing, but do not wish to detract from this good poem.
A nice epitaph. it has senses within it that give it its greater size than it is.
