At times things seem so convoluted
that my mind has wound the circuit
twice, before it's even entered
through the thought's front door
and words pour out in raging passion
all denying form or fashion
over paper pencil flashing
inspiration madly scores
Then sitting back, the write to mull on
mind now blank, the ideas all gone
poor formed symbols, woebegone
I understand one word in four
Again it's happened - that thing hated -
and I'm feeling very jaded
Thought I had them - now they’re faded -
answers to Life, God and All

Judy,
Sitting side by side with this one, ankle-locked,
double woebegoned, searching for the way to say
what I knew last night ...
thanks richard
for the read
lol - it is such a truth i can't read my writing wometimes
when i was at uni i'd take notes, but by the time i got them home i couldn't decipher my hurried writing
i was lucky though - for no matter how bad it was, my younger son could always read it - funny that
when i dont have the computer available and i get inspiration i invariably lose a lot it it to another language
and often with my better writes, the first inspiration comes with pen and paper before it is transferred for editing to the computer
but this was just a bit of fun having a go at my writing
especially when i'm in a hurry to get things down

Good tiny rant at words that float by and are lost forever.
They are many and even though lost the new ones will be better.
Many a time I think of an Idea for a write and then it sinks away into other things never to return, maybe we send them out to someone else, or they are from someone else..
I use notebook a lot just type the words there and save to file on desktop that says "Words To Use" or something like that.
I can't remember the last time I sat and wrote a piece of work, most times I just type them out and edit as little as poss and post.
Not sure if there is a form in this piece but the message is good,
Yours Ian.T
thanks ian
many of my writes come through pen and paper
it is only once they are established that they go to the computer for editing
i think it has something to do with my needing to 'feel' the words
hard to explain
but this was just meant as a bit of a fun poke at my writing legibility

Dear Judy,
I enjoyed this write. It reminded me of the times I get inspiration for a poem in the middle of the night. Usually while I am sleepy... a possible poem wakes me up. That is when I only have my bedside tablet and pencil on hand. My handwriting is atrocious and so is my spelling. Then in the morning I get to decipher my chicken scratch writing and transfer them to the computer.
Then sitting back, the write to mull on
mind now blank, the ideas all gone
poor formed symbols, woebegone
I understand one word in four
thanks for this!
always, Cat
lol cat
so many funny stories i've heard about people not being able to read their own writing - i could write a book :)
and it's worse for me as my real inspirations come through a pen first
lol
thanks for the great comments

Common in the sense mostly on board
not as simple ones
but noteworthy
of poetic assurance ,
for others to mutually
ascribe and subscribe views ....with inordinate passion ...
as we comment unbiased ,
with freedom to assure the readers
that they are worthy of the salt
they sprinkle in the memorable wordiness of poetry
we may call verse,
if not what i said ....worse.
Hi Judyanne
for me the most effective of all lines were
Thought I had them - now they’re faded -
answers to Life, God and All
this captures the essence so beautifully that it made me "Ahhhhhhhh"...
much love n hugz...
thank you very much raj
