Damn Luna, I'm Going To Hell

somebody changed the face of the moon.
Luna was pretty before
but now she is breathtaking
instead of bright gray eyes lit by the sun
peering out from behind the clouds adrift
i see green eyes lit by the stage light
and the silent ache behind them
that is yelling in my ear
and boring into my bones
and closing her fingers 'round my neck
but yes, it is all welcome because
if good things take time, then
damn
this is going to be great.

well, Luna loves my run on sentences
anyone else would be bored of them by now
but no, not my Luna
the one who knows me
the one who knows my faults
and never fails to point them out
but never fails to do it out of love
when with a sigh
comes a midnight breeze off the water
then everything has a soul and a spirit
no matter what i believe that day
it's in her
it's in me
in those eyes
in the silence that is louder
than all the words i will never have.

moonwatcher
a nother dimension with its hue
the night air throwing sound
like a ventriloquist act

in a house of no one else home
the rooms grow
the night emerges
from the moon

time is erased

whom cannot be examined by it
woken by her at night slipping
a finger through the cracks
in the shade

Luna too has seen my best work
and shes the most palest perfect
witness

Thank You for this provocative poem

*sigh... I love the many faces of the moon, but most especially when she is full. Nice tribute. Loved these lines:

comes a midnight breeze off the water
then everything has a soul and a spirit
no matter what i believe that day

always, Cat
