Masterpiece

if these tears had a voice
They would be pleading to leave
If this emptiness had an address
I would send joy as a house warming gift

If only time could hear
I would tell it to take the day off
By chance, if a smile appeared
I would make my home its palace

We cry as if no one judges
Speak like orators of ancient times
Smile as if we replaced the sun

We are free like the birds overhead
Embedded with the soul of poets
And never bury the dream
That waits to be a masterpiece

"Smile as if we replaced the sun"

feel that sunlight eh Paul..
no wonder our ancient ones worshipped
her Bringing life and balm to aches
and pains the enriched crops from floods
and tending to keep life going

words too tend the heart and soul
and sing old aches too to tears
the instrument of talents

Thank You Paul for reminding me
that poets wish to soar like birds

Liked this one it was a little gentle for even me lol..
Other wise a good write though a little meek I felt as if I needed to shout and spit the words out more, to make a great point.
Though the gentle way usually wins , Yours Ian.T

Nordic cloud

Quietly the willow tree waits for the sun,
waits for the toss of the storm,
waits to dance like a bird free, freed
but it waits and it waits
and possibly its needs will be met,
when the clouds catch its hair,
and there's light in the air
that will glow through the layer
of the sky
send a rainfall of words that can fly.
