Autumns Wish
When acorns fall
And Autumns breeze
Begins to waft,
Across the lush green leaves
Of central park trees.
I think of you and wish,
You were here with me.
When the Autumn sun
Steals summers warmth
And shadows elongate,
While darkness encroaches
Upon those in love.
I think of you and wish,
You were here beside me.
When the winter winds
Chills my outer skin.
I feel your warmth glowing,
Deep inside my soul
I think of you and wish,
If only you were here with me.
Where you belong.
When the winter breeze
Choreographs it’s dance
With the Autumn trees.
the music of your pounding heart
Plays inside my very being.
I think of you and see you
dancing here with me.
When summer birds
have flown away
to a warmer place,
And Autumns quiet
Has fallen upon my ears
I think of you and hear,
Your voice inside my head.
When Autumn waits
Upon the cold of winter
that freezes all the summer hearts
Mine stays warm with the fire
Of your unfettered love
I again think of you and wish,
That soon you’ll be here with me.
When Autumns colors
Are all but gone,
I still will wait for you to come
Unlike the seasons that come and go
Our love will always grow.
So here I stand by myself,
In central park
Wishing you were here with me.

Hello Eddie
What a lovely poem to be greeted with on a Friday morning! I could imagine a film being taken of you in Central Park as you were reading your poem out - and the seasons changing as the camera pans round you - with an image of your loved one becoming clearer and clearer! or walking towards you. I love these words:
When the winter winds
Chills my outer skin.
I feel your warmth glowing,
Deep inside my soul
but I enjoyed reading the whole poem.

I am happy that through my words, you saw through my eyes. I take that as a compliment.
thanks for taking the time to stop by and read

Eddie,
I am not a big fan of nature themed poetry, but I did like the structure, with the two lines between the stanza's. They linked in well to the poem and gave an additional account of what was happening during the seasons.
Great imagery my friend,

thanks for the "great"
Yes, it's not that easy for me to use a season to convey the feeling in my heart in conjuction with the women I love. So again thanks I'm happy you enjoyed the structure I was not sure it would work. the between lines seem redundant to me.
thank for the read!

thanks for the "This poem is magnificent" coming from you it means a lot and I really don't take it lightly.
Stop playing around and get better, I'm starting to get anger, don't make me go down there and kick you in the laurels.
Feel better sweetie, I'm sending you all my TLC

Charming
Just one bit: "When the winter winds
....................Chills my outer skin."
Winds chills, either winds chill or wind chills will do, no?
Otherwise I like this poem Eduardo,
and your wonderful name too!

the word "chills" in relation to winds is a separate line. like (that writer gives me the chills) its the winds that give me the chills. like something freghting.
Yes, are we ok, if not please explain what your saying further. If i need to change it I will happily do it, but need more clearity. please don't take it personal. Just explaning my postion.
I'm happy you liked it, and my name, but lets not be so formal, Eddie is fine.
thanks for the read!

I love when poems remind me
