The hunger of my heart,
Is a warm and sweet dream,
Like strawberries and water,
Like peaches and cream,
The desire that fuels me,
The heated longing I keep,
Deep down inside of me,
Begging to be free,
Like thirst, like starvation,
This is how things are,
In the moist chambers,
The corridors of my heart,
The one thing I would cry for,
From another human being,
My darling is your love,
Like honey to me,
Like sugar and candy,
Important as the air I breathe,
So as long as I hold you,
Full I shall be,
God sees our true wishes,
How wonderous His blessings are,
He heard a cry from deep within,
And fed the hunger of my heart,
Suddenly He sent me you,
And something came to me,
If life is like cake, then I have learned,
With icing it's far more sweet.

Rainy Day
I have re read most of your poems that are here, now I would like to see some anger or harder feelings with your works.
Your Love of all the things around and the stability of that love is lovely to read, now can we push the boundaries a little and venture either deeper into those woods or out here where one day the Spring is cool yet where the frost either draws beautiful pictures or is really cold to the touch ???
Your words are lovely, but just a thought,
Yours Ian.T
I have heard this sound before
I am sure I heard this sound before
it is so familier
It has a special ring in the ear
a beauty that can't be deceived
and always a great ending lines
Wow! really delicious mmmmm.
Thank you
Thank you both so much. I do need to post some darker things Ian. You are so right. I love pushing myself as a writer. It brings me to places I never knew I could go. Thank you so much for your comment and suggestion. Rula, your words are beautiful. Thank you so much for your comment and sharing.
