I abhore my ignorance of other languagues
A smattering of of French, German and Japanese is all.
From the the english I read something lovely. From my sounding of the Portuguese it sounded lovelier. Why is the english so much shorter?

Englsh is a Germanic language priimarily: mein Vatters Haus and has a case system
that makes syntax brief and concise.
