lemmings

i want to write love poems and
tell you stories of why the Edelweiss
yodel, how your tongue speaks fluently
in my mouth, but it was raining in my dream

there is no famine in Somalia
and Palestine is no longer occupied,
I want to spread the word that love has been found
in the shadow-world of man,
the alien has landed
and lives with both feet on the ground

weapons of mass destruction are buried under
lilies of the field, angry gods no longer speak
and the grasp of a newborn's handc is stronger
than what we have denied in what we leave behind,
hobbling out of Plato's cave on our march to the
endless sea.

I think you come up with the most interesting topics and titles! These lines impressed:

weapons of mass destruction are buried under
lilies of the field, angry gods no longer speak
and the grasp of a newborn's handc is stronger
than what we have denied in what we leave behind,
hobbling out of Plato's cave on our march to the
endless sea.

always, Cat
