I breathe a peaceful sigh as I read your poem of beauty. Thinking of the fair creatures hibernating under a soft blanket of white.

Actually I love all the seasons and live in an area that is resplendent with (SAD) Seasonal Affective Disorder.
However, the days grow longer after 12/21.

Besides, you'd have to live here for most of your life, like I have, to really claim yourself as a winter aficionado. Ha!

Ah, but I have experienced the grip of winter upon many lands at many times...Ha!

;)

Yah, I know about SAD. So does the rather large bank of lights I spend 2 hours a day under, between December and March, heehee.

Days growing longer: Yule is my favorite rite, and winter solstice always finds me facing East at dawn.
