Guess who? (for a bit of fun)

lets have some fun !!...

read thisand PM me with your answer about who you think this poem is about ....I will PM you back if your guess is right. or wrong and let you know the right answer if your guess is wrong..:) PLEASE do not write your answers in the form of comments on this page..so that others can have some fun too in this guessing game..lol..

Smartly uniformed in white
short, tall, rugged and trite
in rank and file these troops
stand guard day in and day out

Few wise ones lost on the road
others take on additional load
one that's fallen out of line,
a wise crack in this bee line

Some knock while others grind
some gleam while beaming a smile
together they rock on a wintry night
tapping on their pointed toes

In silence they keep on preying
on all meat that happens their way
come night, the front ranks get
a nibble on some juicy treats

In time they'll part their ways
others won't fill their ranks
the hollows in the rank and file
will weaken a charming smile

Those who'll brave the grind
each mile and stuttering stride
will lay guard but not their pride
when it'll be time to bid adieu...

Common Xena...since you agree its a lot of fun..have a dip ...there is nothing to lose in having fun..have your share of it too...i will help you guess your way to the right answer and then you will clench your teeth and say "Oops! how did i miss out on such a simple one"...lol...

i did get your guess..and you were right it was wrong but not too wrong in your approach..i can see you used the following clues to get somewhere close to the answer but not quite..lol

was it your birthday? i asked because you said you got a present.. as for the quiz i can only tell you that Judyanne PMed me the answer and she got it spot on ...but be honest and don't ask her..lol...
