..the phony development
of a pseudo-love
cloaking a true love.
awakened-
by the frantic applause
as I approach the end,
the closure
of yet another act.
I must walk
towards you
lean in
touch your lips
and pretend, for it to be true.
ironically, my efforts lie
in convincing you, that it’s a lie.
this is, our final piece
no more encores
our last kiss..
as your tender lips melt into mine
I yearn for you to know
that, what you cannot know.
and in that moment,
I feel your eyes burn into mine
and your arms engulf me
as a lifetime is lived
in a moment of conclusion.
could it be true?
do you already know?
as I feel your lips burn into my own
a kiss could comfort me so-
I had never known.
for this may have been
a performance, a play
but my testimony stands true
as the curtains draw to an end;
the tragedy has only just begun.
as we part,
in a moment, that seemed like days
I lived through you
and you turn and walk away
it seems we must part ways.

This is so sad, like life love most of the time is one sided. almost to say delusional. yet love is felt in that infinite moment. what's the old saying: it is better to have loved and loss, then not to have loved at all.
I truly enjoyed this write in it's progression, and the way it was staged.

i absolutely love what you
i absolutely love what you just said with "love is felt in that infinite moment". that is exactly the idea behind this piece, and is true to the hilt. thank you so much for reading this, man, your comments are appreciated!

the moment and emotions of parting is very nicely expressed in this poem ..the only thing i wish you change is correct the spelling of the title which i believe should be denouncement...the error could be through oversight as can happen while writing an emotionally strung poem like this one...
hey raj, thanks for reading.
hey raj, thanks for reading. really appreciate your comments!
and i can understand why you would think the spelling is wrong (this wasn't in my vocabulary either, honestly) but Denouement actually means the final resolution of a narrative/dramatic plot. denouncement is a little different.
thanks for looking into it though :)
