I was born to a family of Arrowak Indians.
My grandfather was the village Chief and a warrior.
I remember,
when I was a young child of about seven years of age..
My grandfather LeLe taught me the ways of the earth,
for he did not know any other God, even though the puritans tried.
He could not recognize a God, he could not see or touch.
He would say to me,
"The earth gives us everything we need to survive, and we in turn
must give back to the earth. because in the end it is to where we return."
Today, now at this moment, it is all that I am.
Those lessons served me well when I went into the Army,
for that was where I truly excelled. I am not a poet,
what I am is a warrior, and I know nothing else as well;
as fighting and living off the land that provides more than I will ever need.
Grandfather of the earth, it is you I walk on. I thank you because one day
I will be part of the earth with thee..
(remembering a simple man of the earth, LeLe Ramons)

Love reading into peoples
Love reading into peoples histories and the only nitpick is you should never write 7 yrs you should always write seven years old as the correct literary way for age is done. :) I hope you write more of these snippets of your history,
Thank you!
I stand corrected, i appreciate it. sometime I become lazy. honestly I do that a lot, when I write. I trying to stop that ignorant is what it looks like when i write that way.

This was brought to mind by a statement Jess said to me that was true about. He said that I made a simple comment on a poem and my reply was "I am a simple man" Jess was just being honest and I appreciate that.
In the same instance I remembered my grandfather, who was all a simple man of the earth.
Thank you,

Truth is the way to real freedom, because the clarity of it is undeniable.
I am a Taoist, and clarity is what I live for. The fog of the world I have cleared away. So as I can see the truth in all. Even in those that live in denial. I know that what they do or say is not about me. It is about them and the fog the world has covered their mirror with, which makes them angry for they can not see themselves. They only see the image, the world provides
Good bye back to you my friend you have my number feel free.

The Arrowak Indian are originally from Peru Inca
My people as you put it, date back to the stone age.
They escaped from Peru the attacks of the cannibals Carib Indian .
They island hoped in canoa to escape the brutality.
To finally settle in Borinquen. The name they gave the island known today as Puerto Rico
There so much info that I can not go into here.
Thanks for your interest,

Dear Eddie,
Your Grandfather was a wise man and you were fortunate to learn these lessons from him! (That makes you a wise man, too!) I hope you will not let the legacy end with you, but pass on this wisdom to future generations.
suggestions:
for he did not know no other God. (for he did not know any other God) or (for he did not know another God)

Thank you, I made the correction and also added something to that part for clarity

Hmm..
A well crafted prose.. and thank you for all the information. Your grandfather's thoughts were lovely and you have out them wonderfully in words.
Perhaps you would like to make the 'i' capital in Arrowak Indians.
Cheers
Sam.
Thank you!
Yes the Indian are a people, but in reality there are many nation that are not inter- connected.
So my focus is on one nation the Arrowak and not to be confused with the American Indian.
I have made the change for all intent and perposes.
Thank you, I appreciate your careful read.
