CHANCE MEETING

CHANCE MEETING

He is my universe full of stars
as distant and as far,
he is the moon,
and when I smile
I see him glow for me,
this man I know
these three long years.

A man of integrity,
full of fears
of death,
and when I held my breath
to caress him,
sudden moonlit joys
reflecting life,
a special meaning,
no longer dreaming.

No need for more,
his place is safe,
this person in my heart,
he is a part of all I see and hear,
his thoughts combine with mine,
as reading poetry on modern nets
we commune across the brine.

He nobly carries on,
and dances if he falls,
his humour is divine,
his nature kind and good,
so all admire him as they should.
No thought for days so low,
his ebb is 'gainst the tide,
his shopping from the taxes, hides.

Outside his well kept home,
are birds and beasts,
avocado trees and palms,
but in within his rooms
is cool safe calm;
his taste is good for food and wine,
the furniture with cushions coloured fine.

A haven warm,
like his own soul
where friends come willingly
to share their time.
A friend
my friend
one of a kind.

Why you are truly a fantastic romantic.
I was lost in your word
what a discription
of a wonderful soul mate.

How I wish
that someones eyes
could see me in that way
love is truly in bloom
this year

thanks for posting
this beautiful golden
nugget

But I hope not in a wishy-washy manner? I used to dislike the over romantic poetry and prose of the 20's and my father retorted that it was good, but I fond it too flowery. When I was 11yrs I was at a boarding school for four years and there we had to write letters each week to our parents; this was good for us, and I remembered how the teachers liked romantic description, and THEY READ ALL OUR MAIL(!) so I piled it on , as the Norwegians say "Smør på flesk" or butter on pork fat, and they were wildly excited and praised me, so I learnt to mimic the style...ha ha it became my own, but as I repeat I hope not so overdone as those of the late 19th Century !???

Thank you love is good, Ann!
