THE SCORCH OF THE TRUE VIPER

My sweet tongued viper of truth
double edged is your sword
laying waste to those who lie
to manipulate loves rewards

True blue of your eyes
searing those who dare cheat
calling their intention love
scorching their betrayal with heat

The fire of your passion
they covet
only finding themselves burnt
to cinder and ashes

The sweet odor of your loveliness
is the alluring scent they believe
is your lady like weakness
but it's their hearts that are cleaved

Few have seen your inner strength
or the clarity which is your power
yet with true love
could you be picked like a beautiful flower

All these things I have seen
and heard the sweet true
utterance of the viper
her love is real as morning dew

I fill my heart with truth
for I have learned
that I love the reality of my sweet viper
I do not wish ever to be burnt

Interesting reference of the viper as your love for in philosophy and even the bible they state that Eve was the serpent (heve) that is the ruination yet the knowledge of man, so this has a good double dose of truth and meaning in the lines.
