Suckers

Making a stand for individuality.
Two fingers formed into the international sign
for up yours and ‘V’ for victory.

A war against the ignoble scum suckers
of this universe. Undeviating,
in the search for originality.

Fighting for the right to be what or who you are,
In the face of a disapproving world,
outside their concept of reality.

In the final analyses, the conclusion must be,
Acceptance is all most seek.
But hold your ground, let go of ambiguity.

People need to have the 'will' to power, not over others or for others to follow but for themselves. Once you can attain that without feeling a sense of guilt over not being thankful to a 'god' or such but by just experiencing life and living it your own way with your own morals and beliefs I think we might all be better off. I just had this discussion a while ago about 'the meek inheriting the earth' I say we're in big trouble if that happens. Thought provoking and I love that in poetry.

I admire those who manage not to conform, and are able to follow thier own path, it's very easy to let yourself be swayed by what your peers think, especially in your youth. But I find it gets a little easier not to when you hit your 40s.

Thank you for reading.
