"In the depth of winter I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer." Albert Camus
Walking in your shadow
I had to stay back
Be undermined
Give you slack
Try hard
to be what you needed
Still
your ambivalence wavered
Till the decision came
Suggesting you
had made up your mind
But know this -
There are lovers
for whom longing
is enough...
I am not among them.

Liked this one , the only thing I would say is that i wasn't sure about the line where you have said 'ambivalance wavered, ' simply because if you are ambivelant you are already wavering.
None the less I enjoyed this one.
love lou
I agree,
I agree with Lou, what about, Still your ambivalence, till the decision came. Great poem . Regards Roscoe..
Thanks folks!
Liked your comments a lot - and moreover your approval! Lou and Roscoe - I see what you mean - but I need to exaggerate the idea - that ambivalence (bad as it is!) CAN waver further...and DOES!
Just my take on it! ;)
