The glory of youth,begins
while gazing into the eyes of truth.
Discerning there some vague idea
of how you’ll spend your youth.
Will your choices be sustained,
or be cast aside in vain?
Will the eyes that you now look into
serve someone else's gain?
You decide just who you’ll be
with every new decision.
And how you want it all to end.
Though not with crystal vision!
You can’t derail the truth,
or take away the blame.
Though there always lies a shade
of doubt across life’s windowpane!

Glory of Youth!
Hello!
Wise words throughout! "You decide just who you'll be with every new decision." I love that line - at 66 years old, I'm still learning how true it is. Really like this. I'll be back to read again.
Thank you!

Glory of youth!
We all must make choices and stand up to the cosdequnce of
each and every one. Remember that shadow on the window pane
that in some strange way brings us all around. To find the gift of mercy
and rest in God's own palm.
I enjoyed the poem, I
I enjoyed the poem, I especially liked the line:
You decide just who you’ll be
with every new decision.
Quite right, each decision we make impacts our lives more than we realize.
