Time for tea?

You may think we’re crazy
But in reality we’re just simple folk
Searching endlessly
For someone just to talk to
Someone just like you
Who possess the inner power
To discern our individuality,
Accept us in our weakness
And take enough time
To sip some tea!

Honestly, there are so many great writers on this site that I wasn't prepared to make a comment. I didn't think it was required. The poem is simply about how we take care of or neglect our responsibility for one another.

but oh, so satisfying! To know that there are people just like oneself, waiting for acknowledgement; a tea-party, with peers, neighbors of the ether. I love this site for all the writers, the people like me, who spend hours communicating in words of encouragement, describing our congenerous lives. Thank you for sharing yours with me. ~ Geezer.

Such a welcoming poem. I especially like the question mark included in the title, giving the reader the feeling of being asked to stop in for a bit. I haven't used any other social media for quite some time, as I think that words of poetry are the most sincere, positive form of communication. Reading your poem lets me slow down and pause, and sipping a cup of tea sounds lovely. A poem full of grace.
