My trip Down Memory Lane

Pretty Girl

Once the words are written
They’re really really written
It marks the end of an era
And profound change
All the prose of you
Remains in my mind
Just this one put down
No anger remains
Betrayal never came to mind
Only the sadness
Of knowing that a kindred soul
Had drifted away
And found a new home
Now to tumble down
Roads lined with willows
To remember the days
Of whispered jokes
And stupid bets
And changing lanes
When we would stay up all night
Baking dreams and dancing poorly
To soundtracks of breakups
And sorrows and hopes
You are a hole in my heart
Now I look at your face
Across the table
And no longer recognize
The beautiful girl
That doesn’t stare back
Anymore.

Is like elastic tread -, it's thicker and stretchier. You need a special thread for it. A sweet begining hardly ends well in a relationship. I rather love with my head than to give all my heart to someone who might broke it one day. So, love with your brain and your heart.

there would be hardly any poetry or songs written. Without love, the world would be a poorer place. It is too bad that sometimes we must lose on the field of love. You have written a heartbreaker. ~ Geezer.
