at least we can still write of anything not in the heavens, on earth, or in the oceans. Enjoyable read..........scribbler

After reading Blue's ordeal, which is representative of the experience of many on other such poetry sites, a little hilarious write that is not meant to be irreverent of anyone or anything. Hope you can enjoy:

Then Neogod said,
“Let Us make poets in Our image,
according to Our likeness;
let them have dominion over the sheet of a pad,
over the leaves of a tome, and over the airwaves,
over all the earth and over every corner of the worldwide web.”

And the Poet lived one hundred and thirty years,
and begot a Mentoree in his own likeness,
after his image, and named him Poetoo.

“You shall not make for yourself a graven verse—
any likeness of anything that is in heaven above,
or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth;

lest you act corruptly and make for yourselves
a graven image in the form of any figure:
the likeness of male or female,
unless otherwise authorised by your Mentor.

Do not lie to each other,
since you have taken off your old poet-self with its old practices
and have put on the new poetself,
which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator:
Neogod.
