Nary a pin drop could be heard
As the sun stripped down her firey rays
Giving way to the moon's seductive glow
Body and heart open to show
Placing the athame upon the altar
Black petals falling against its wood surface
Sandalwood and saffron engulfed in fire
Floating with the wind to her desire
Speaking his name, she called above
Let these words find her love
And place him in her arms so tight
So mote it be

Excellent job weaving all the elements together. Obviously I’m into pagan beliefs and so this one is special.

Hi Tim
Thank you for the read and comment...I still remember much of what I learned many years ago regarding paganism and am a strong believer. Glad you enjoyed.

"As the sun stripped down her firey rays"
Now that's a memorable line. I am a fan of WB Yeats more more esoteric works.
I do love the tone of this, yet find myself profoundly lost.
This ridiculous device, in the southern hemisphere finds me me, scrambling to devine that strange beauty you created. I will have to return.
Kindest regards
Chris.
