Then you know, Me too, if angry
"Don't ask me now", is what I'd get
The Eagles said To Take It Easy
brought me to country rock and roll
I lived next to Hotel California
the Devil tried to steal my soul
Pink Floyd succeeded in keeping my attention
Being Comfortably Numb
I had High Hopes for the world
I didn't think it was dumb
My brother had life where the grass is greener
and sometimes, I Wished You Were Here
but Time was too long ago
and so are the things held dear
Younger friends and new experience
had me listening
I found I Wanted To Be A Cowboy
Kid Rock replaced the "King"
So now, I got a Nickleback
change from One More Silver Dollar
I'm a little bit calmer now
I no longer jump and holler

The trouble is...
now that I've come to present day, I am having a little trouble in using current titles. I haven't listened to much in the way of music in the now, since I don't drive taxi anymore and less time driving for personal reasons. That is when I used to listen to radio stations and the newest in music. Now, I just mostly listen to the stuff that I already know. I am making an effort to find
newer stuff that I can use and will return to the last part of my lifelong affair with music. Although I have complained a little, it has been a fun write. ~ Geez.

That is...
one of the things that is kind of holding me up at this point. Listening to "Golden Oldies" is what I normally do. I'm trying to bring the poetry and the songs more up to date. I listen to a station that has a great mix of old stuff and new too. I just have to start listening more so that I get the feel of the newer stuff. Thanks for the suggestion though. Geez.

This is a little rougher than part 1. It's got the bones of s great poem. It felt a little forced to fit the songs into it but I have every confidence in you that you will iron out any wrinkles.
I am inspired but I don't know that I could ever meld the many different forms of music I like into a poem. Maybe that would be a good challenge for the workshops...
I see how hard you've worked on this and given how you had to weave all these songs into it. I think you've done a splendid job.

I know it's a little rough, I think what I have to do, is get the number of titles pared down a little bit and then work on the rhyme.
I don't see the melding of the different forms as a problem; I just think about the way the music affects me and then the way to
mix it in becomes apparent. Don't forget, I am seventy-four years old and listened to music that my parents and older relatives liked and added what I like; that makes for a looooong list! Thanks for the vote of confidence Sis. ~ Geez.
