The weeds we want

And give them a very
Special name

Rosewood Apothecary

This is quick and poignant. Has a nice feel to it right now. It’s cold in New England and the thought of the late spring blooms on our property come to mind when I read this. It was a nice break from wintering.

and everyday occurrences for ideas is a great way to gain material for poems. I do it all the time. Some of the most remarked upon pieces I have done, have been about things observed in my ordinary day to day life. I wrote "An Audience of Cows" by combining a commercial and a story about a friend of mine. I really enjoyed these thoughts about flowers and weeds!
