Here
flow my
drops of ink...free
No chains to restrict, no
barriers, no real boundaries,
unlike my homeland, my
occupied country
Palestine
Here
fly my words
free with birds or
even fall like the leaves
off an autumn tree .........free
unlike the martyrs in my
homeland,in my loving
Palestine
Here
I'd sip in
my ink to live
forever free in my
homeland, my occupied
loving country in
Palestine

Hello, Rula,
A strong passionate poem in a beautiful, soft visual form. Your words flow freely just like the drops of ink.

What a strong poem
I love the form used...as always you give us something new and wonderful to experience from reading your works...well done.
Dear Carrie
Your visit is always appreciated. your complementing words give me the motivation to always try something new.
I have opinions about this
These opinions they aren’t very popular in my country. I think this is really strong work. It’s our job as artists and writers to put these issues under the microscope. This violence and forceful diaspora of the Palestinian people in the name of the state of Israel is terrible. It’s my belief both groups deserve to enjoy their motherland. The United State of Palestine and Israel perhaps. Maybe one day we can get it sorted out. Until then we hope and we write.
Amazing job on the formatting,
Tim
Thank you Tim
I'm thankful for reading my work and leaving such an honest comment. I don't think Palestinians will ever accept a one state for them and the Israelies. This is politics that never works with people. I just, like you, hope peace shall prevail sooner than later everywhere on this loving planet.
Thank you!
Thank you!
It breaks my heart too to see young men and women daily killed with cold blood only because they ask for justice and for defending their homes and families.
Your words mean a lot !
