knock, knock

The scratches next door
they were bearable at first
but now it feels deliberate

I cusp my ears
one each in hand
As though i could silence them
with flesh

They’ve now reached the wall
right above my bed
I can feel the vibrations

i step out from my bed
toward the window
calculating if i'll make the fall

But as i walk away
the scratches are louder
i can feel them now
against my skull

I can't say I know the techniques of writing a story in poetry, many here can help better, but I wanted to say I always admire the try.
This left me want to know more... Who? Why?
Let's see what the expertise might say.
Thank you for sharing.

Those are definitely some questions I could explore with the poem, just wondering though, if i didn't try to answer the questions but left the reader wanting more- is this satisfying? Let me know, thanks :)

Maybe if you answer these questions in episodes.
Alwys keep the reader wanting for more till the last episode where you would answer all that the reader required to know.
Again, I am no expert... these are only thoughts. Take or leave.
