Who knows where they might have been
if not for chance and choosing?
You chance to be somewhere because...
it's staying there or moving
Butterfly wings make a difference
see their beauty in the sun
Show them to another person
make plans to have some fun
Chance, is an accidental meeting
Choosing is what you do
I took a chance, making plans
when I found that I love you
Yes, the wings of a butterfly
can make a difference too
And the wind can change tomorrow
as may what you choose
The fate of the world may not change
but for some, it will depend
I think that choices that we make
can give chances a better end

This is a good one
I like everything about this. Points well made through rhythm and thoughtful words. :)
Thank you...
I am glad that I got the points across. I do believe that we have some control over our lives. We choose what and when from where we are. Each time we make a decision as to what to do and when to do it, we affect our lives and where we are next.
Thank you for your unwavering support and the work that you do. We appreciate your time and effort. ~ Geez.

Chances and Choosing...
Hi, Geezer,
Love this, and I agree. Chance and choice go hand in hand. It's not only what fate or circumstance drops down before us, but what we choose to do with it going forward. By chance, Robert Frost came upon a fork in the road. He chose the road less traveled, and it "made all the difference" to him. Really like the final two lines.
Thank you!

Thank you...
for your read and comment. Like Tim, I love the interaction with you all in some unequal portions of friends and the site,
[I can't decide if it is sixty-forty for love of the site or my friendly neighborhood family poets. Anyway, I'm glad that you understood where I was going with that. ~Geez.

Shit this a philosophy not a poem brother.

Awwwww, man...
shit like that, just tears me up. I have always felt that my main goal as a writer of any sort, should be the guy that is ever hopeful, that no matter what happens this time, next time, I'll do better. I get lost, every now and then. I lose sight of my goals and I need a boot up my ass. [My wife helps with a generous portion of that], but you know what they say... ummmm, I forget..
where was I? I probably shouldn't try to do stuff like this, when I'm full of magic-cookies. Anyways, thanks man. ~ Geez.
