what is passion
at times passion is felt more
within than without
the physical passion you talk of
no doubt is momentary
but a passion of remembrance
is long term memory
love both
you as well as me
of a passion we speak
simple poetry
passion indeed
our love
for this breed

I couldn't agree more...
We should love our poets like we love our own breath.
For some, writing poetry is like breathing easily, for others
it reeks of sweat and physicality, a struggle to fit the passion
into mere words.
"And ragged breaths he did take
the struggle of passion
not like eating cake, but the tearing
of meat from the bone!"

Of Passion When Young
Hello, Lovedly,
You are spot on - simple passionate poetry is within. Beautiful. Reminds me of a quote by Billy Collins:
"While the novelist is banging on his typewriter, the poet is watching a fly in the window." That's passion!
Thank you!
