Necromancer's Dance

Light the candles
One by one
Hot wax dripping
Against my flesh
The time has come

I'll call them out
In runic rhyme
Overturn their earthly prison
And watch them rise
The battle has just begun

Shadowy figures
Wait for my command
While ancient apparitions
Scour the land
Come now, we can't be late

Soldiers of darkness
Soul snatchers of fate
Our powers are one
As the enemy begins
Their mournful retreat

Come now, my pets
You've done so well
Where the light ends
And the night prevails

right off the top I have to say...I Love Your Title! it entices one to wade in to the warm waters of your imagination... I saw roiling storm clouds (no rain, just black clouds) highlighting the mighty battle! Mam' you tell a wicked-good story, you surely do that!!! favorite lines, which were very hard to choose:

Come now, my pets
You've done so well
Where the light ends
And the night prevails
