(I could have danced all night)

You help recall
some one
who still lives in my heart
entered through a keyhole
in my eye
as she did smile
and
her soft voice
is an everlasting memory
just a wee part

I always smile
she left us all
seemingly for a while
but within my heart
left an indelible smile...

''I could have danced all night''

still I hear
from the one
who was to mostly
like a bright sun

very dear

she is now far
but yet so near
thanks to you
my poet of death
as reverberations you endear....

It’s like a reminisce I fear
come one day
with her we all will again be near

but in the far distant horizon
none will be able to steer
but her soft voice
we shall continue to hear

Audrey Hepburn
to many was
a living
dancing dear

of the old-time starlets that I would have danced all night with. It is true that movies and television have changed hugely since those days of dancing and singing stars. Fortunately, we have many tapes and reels of film from those days and we still make use of some of those stars in the "Uptown Funk" episodes. Like Fred Astaire and Ginger Rodgers dancing or Gene Kelley, if you haven't seen any of those, you should watch them, they are very entertaining. A Good poem, that brings back memories
for a lot of people and maybe will introduce some of us to the oldtime stars. Nice job. ~ Geez.
