He said "Follow me"
just those two words
Intrigued, I did
on those two words I heard
He led the way, down the street
this funny guy, I chanced to meet
He ne'er looked at me to see
after he said "Follow me"
This guy must have something great to say
or he would not behave this way
so, I followed him on that day
to hear what it was, if I may
I followed him down through the woods
keeping up as best I could
We swam the river, doing the crawl
I wondered what would become of it all
We stopped out there in a field
by a fair-sized lake
I'm thinking this is where he would yield
I'd had all that I could take
Then he made a gesture with his hand
and so did all the rest
I followed suit, and then I heard a band
that simply was the best!
He didn't speak, no, never spoke
But I had the best time ever
I drank some wine, ate fish and smoked
and I followed him wherever
He said "Follow me"
just those two words
Intrigued, I did
on those two words I heard

dear Geezer,
did you know that you are a very funny guy? I like your sense of humor. this is the verse that I liked best:
He didn't speak, no, never spoke
But I had the best time ever
I drank some wine, ate fish and smoked
and I followed him wherever
*hugs, Cat
"Tis true...
I am a bit funny, but I think odd is what might be truer.
I have genes from my father who was English, Dutch and I think a little Irish,
my mother gives me the French, English and Maybe a little Native American.
The English give the dry humor, from the French, Dutch, Irish, we get the serious belly-laughs
and the Native Americans [Seneca and Mohawk] have that almost sadistic sense of righteous, revenge is sweet.
Thank you for always seeing the best of me. ~ Hugs from Geez. and the boys.

Some folk are worth following
Some folk are worth following,
though, not Too closely
lest the following drift into stalking.
Found this one thoughtful
and well written.
Personally, I would question the inerrant nature of anyone that utters the words "Follow me",
unless its Bob Dylan. Hendrix. or that interesting effeminate fellow down at the petrol station might pique my curiosity.
Obi.
As always...
I am pleased that you find my work interesting enough to follow! I read something yesterday about St. Peter that produced this piece. According to certain works, Saint Peter followed Jesus because he asked him to. St. Pete was often a doubter, but he followed Jesus and watched as Jesus fed the masses with fish and bread, that was multiplied by Jesus. ~ Geez.

Gee
you know I follow thee
but you don't even smile at me
So tell me are you like
the PIED PIPER OF HAMMELIN
I HOPE NOT
as you will treat me as a common rat
Eh I ain't yet that fat
but to follow you I will like a cat
lol
Come now...
I have made many jokes at your expense, and laughed right along with everyone else! lovedly, you are one of my mainstays here at Neo. I always read your works, and although I may take a bit of time, to respond to them, whenever you chastise me
for not reading or commenting, I almost invariably have something to say. Sometimes, I am in a foul mood and don't feel like
making time to comment on the things that you wish to say, other times, I am upset with your preoccupation with death. If you wish, I shall make the time to say good morning to you every day, when I log in! ~ Geez.
